Sectors Primebuild builds for

Each sector below is one Primebuild has genuinely worked in - anchored to a named client, a registration, or a completed project.

Government & Public Sector

Public works delivered against procurement rules, published standards and audit.

Public sector construction in Kenya is judged on compliance as much as on the finished building. Procurement is competitive, payment is milestone-based, and the works are auditable long after handover. That rewards a contractor with established procedures and clean statutory paperwork rather than one relying on informal arrangements. Primebuild is registered by the National Construction Authority and applies established procedures to meet clients' statutory requirements.

Basis: Named clients include the National Industrial Training Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture, Kiambu County Government and the Kenya Rural Roads Authority.

Education

School construction sequenced around terms, with safeguarding and safety at the centre.

School projects have two constraints an ordinary commercial job does not: the programme is dictated by the academic calendar, and the site is occupied by children. Work has to be phased into holidays or hoarded off completely, with controlled access and no compromise on site safety. Primebuild's core values put the safety of team and clients first and commit to adherence to all relevant safety standards and regulations.

Basis: Named clients include Aga Khan Education Service Kenya, the Swedish School Association of Kenya and Kianda School, Nairobi. The photographed swimming pool facility, with marked lanes and a changing block, is institutional rather than domestic.

Health & NGO

Clinical and donor-funded facilities, built to specification and reported against.

Health and NGO construction carries obligations beyond the building: donor-funded work is reported against a budget line, and clinical space has to satisfy infection control, services provision and statutory approval before it can be used. Both reward accurate scoping up front and disciplined records throughout. Primebuild's stated approach is to take seriously the constraints of budget, schedule and quality.

Basis: Named clients include Amref Flying Doctors and Smile Train Kenya.

Water & Sanitation

Storage, reticulation and sanitation works under a specific ministerial registration.

Water infrastructure is a regulated discipline in Kenya, and contractors are registered for it separately from general building. The work is unforgiving: a tank that leaks, a foundation that settles or a pipeline that fails a pressure test is not a snag but a rebuild. Primebuild is registered by the Ministry of Water & Sanitation in addition to the National Construction Authority.

Basis: Registration by the Ministry of Water & Sanitation, and the photographed sectional steel water storage tank on reinforced concrete plinths.

Commercial & Property Development

Offices, mixed-use and developer-led schemes where programme drives return.

For a developer, the programme is the investment case: every month a building is not occupied is a month of finance cost against no rental income. Commercial work therefore rewards realistic programming and a contractor who reports progress honestly rather than optimistically. Primebuild has a reputation for well-managed projects, taking seriously the constraints of budget, schedule and quality.

Basis: Named clients include Plan Smart Properties and African Energy Group. The photographed two-storey commercial building with roof-mounted solar is completed work of this type.

Industrial & Manufacturing

Workshops, warehousing and plant buildings designed around heavy loads and process.

An industrial building is a machine for moving material. Structure, floor slab, crane rails, power and access all follow from the process the building houses, and getting the slab or the portal spacing wrong is expensive to correct later. Primebuild's in-house engineering and construction management team allows those decisions to be coordinated rather than passed between separate consultants.

Basis: The photographed steel portal-frame workshop with a rail-mounted gantry crane and adjacent plant installation.

Residential

Private homes and town house developments finished to a domestic standard.

Domestic construction is judged at arm's length. A client lives with the finishes daily, notices the joinery and the tiling line, and cares about the landscaping being complete rather than the building being merely structurally sound. Primebuild's clientele includes individual as well as corporate clients, and its policy applies the same standards of practice regardless of project size.

Basis: The company profile lists Nandi Road, Karen town houses as a project reference, and the photographed natural stone home is completed through to landscaping.

Faith-Based & Community

Places of worship and community buildings, built with the congregation still using them.

Community projects are often funded incrementally and built in phases while the building stays in use, which makes phasing, cost certainty and clear communication with a committee more important than raw speed. Primebuild's stated approach is guided by listening to clients and responding to their needs.

Basis: St. Austin's Catholic Parish is named as a client in the company profile.

Construction problems generalise better than sectors do

If your sector is not above, it does not mean the work is unfamiliar. Describe the building and the constraints, and Primebuild will tell you honestly whether it is the right contractor for it.
